2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼PA-SurgeonsPAC

A strong, united voice for surgery is essential to effective advocacy. That's why the 2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼ Professional Association (2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼PA) political action committee, 2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼PA-SurgeonsPAC, promotes access to the highest-quality surgical resources for patients and surgeons every day. The 2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼PA-SurgeonsPAC is governed by an appointed Board of Directors including Fellows, Young Fellows, Associate Fellows, and Residents representing numerous specialties.

  • Supporting congressional candidates—particularly fellow health care professionals—who can best educate and engage their colleagues about important surgical advocacy priorities.

A Note About Membership Dues

Annual dues dollars are not used to fund or support the College’s political activities. All political efforts are financed through voluntary, personal contributions from 2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼PA members made directly to the 2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼PA-SurgeonsPAC. A small portion of dues receipts, typically 3 to 5 percent, are retained by the 2023Äê°ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û¼Ç¼PA to finance the legislative advocacy program, and as a result, are not deductible from federal income taxes as a business expense. Additional information is listed on the annual dues statement.
